This week is crazy.....I have so much stuff to do. We leave in exactly one week to our awesome family reunion trip to Canadia. I am so excited, but swamped....along with work and getting it set up to be gone for almost 2 weeks, I have lists of things I need to get, pack and everything else.
Hopefully I will get a few posts in before I leave though. I am going a few days a head of Alan with my mom....anyone have any good tips for traveling/flying with kids for such long distances? Anything that would be convenient to bring? Should I bring a stroller or a kid leash for the airport? These are the things I think about. Please help.

Skye posted about flying with kids on Gabby's blog - check it out if you forgot or missed it.
The kids behind us on the flight to Paris were out cold the entire time ~ I am pretty sure their mom gave them some sleepy medicine.
That is all my input {from a non-mother}
I say a stroller, you have to walk a long way from check-in, thru security, to your gate, if you change planes sometimes your in a totally different concourse. And sometimes your plane can be late and you don't have a lot of time to get to your next leg. You can throw your bag in the bottom, kid in the stroller, and off you go. I have a very light travel stroller for toddlers you can borrow, and you just check it with the stewardess right at the bottom of the breezeway just before you step on the plane, then they have it for you right as you deplane. So handy. Good snacks, because plane food - YUK! And a water bottle. Some people use Benadryl, haven't needed to do that yet. DVD player with headphones of course. I also have a small magna doodle, nice because the pen is attached and you aren't fishing it off the floor between cramped seats. And I take an extra change of undies and clothes for little ones in case of accidents with food or otherwise. Can't forget some baby wipes either, how did we live without them, babies or not? Also, nice to have your carry ons be backpacks, so you can throw them on your back, it frees up your hands and is easier on your shoulders. If I remember anything else I'll let you know, oh, pack your sundries, or anything that can leak in Ziploc bags. Your clothes and luggage will be grateful. Be sure to grab the pillows and blankets on the plane as soon as you board, they go fast and are nice to prop little ones for sleeping. Other than that just eat a few Wunderbars for me, and enjoy!
Thanks Tanya...totally helpful....and I have been planning on most of those things....it's good to hear I am not totally off base.
